Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350º F. Butter a pie plate, or spray with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl toss the stale bread cubes with chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.
Step 3
In a small bowl whisk the eggs. Mix in milk and vanilla. Drizzle over the bread mixture, then toss coating them. Transfer into prepared pie plate.
Step 4
Bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle.
Step 5
Allow to set for about 5 minutes before serving.
Step 6
Drizzle with caramel sauce for serving.
