  • When selecting apples, opt for a sweet variety such as Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji.
  • If desired, add 1 teaspoon of apple pie spice to the apples before layering them in the pan.

  • Substitute maple syrup for the corn syrup to reduce the amount of processed sugar in the recipe. The benefit of this substitution is that it adds a delicious, natural sweetness to the recipe without the added refined sugar.
  • Substitute whole wheat bread for the French bread to make the recipe more nutritious. The benefit of this substitution is that it adds a higher fiber content to the recipe, while still providing a delicious flavor.

Maple Walnut French Toast Replace the brown sugar with maple syrup, add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts to the apples, and sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped walnuts over the top of the French toast before baking.

Maple Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts: Roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and maple syrup is a delicious and savory side dish that pairs perfectly with the sweet and tart flavors of the Bailey House Apple French Toast. The bacon adds a smoky flavor to the dish and the maple syrup adds a subtle sweetness.

Baked Potato Wedges: Baked potato wedges are a great side dish to pair with the Maple Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts. The potato wedges are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they provide a delicious contrast to the smoky bacon and sweet maple syrup in the Brussels sprouts. The potato wedges also add a comforting and hearty flavor to the meal, making it a complete and satisfying meal.
