Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 475°.

Step 2

Saute bacon until crisp.

Step 3

Drain, reserving fat.

Step 4

Crumble bacon.

Step 5

Combine flour with salt in a mixing bowl.

Step 6

Add milk, bacon and all the bacon fat except 1 tablespoon.

Step 7

Grease a 10" cake pan with the bacon fat.

Step 8

Pour well-blended batter into pan.

Step 9

Bake for about 20 minutes, or until top is light brown and cake tester comes out clean.

Step 10

Cool slightly before removing from pan.
