"Anyone who knows me well or has read my profile knows that avocado is among my favorite ingredients & I have a lot of recipes in my collection to prove it. I'm also not that much of a drinker except for Bailey's in my coffee & dedication to my Dallas roots where I learned to love margaritas. This recipe combines both passions & was found at avocadosfrommexicodotcom. ENJOY!"

  • When selecting an avocado for this recipe, choose one that is just ripe, as it will provide the best texture and flavor.
  • For the best flavor, use freshly squeezed lime juice rather than bottled.

  • Substitute the margarita mix for pineapple juice for a tropical twist. The pineapple juice will add a sweet and refreshing flavor to the margarita and will also provide a unique twist on the classic recipe.
  • Substitute the tequila for vodka for a less intense flavor. The vodka will provide a smooth and subtle flavor that will still be enjoyable, but not as strong as the traditional tequila.

Mango Margarita Substitute the avocado with 1/2 cup of mango puree and proceed with the same instructions.

Grilled Shrimp Tacos - These tacos are the perfect accompaniment to the creamy, citrusy flavors of the Avocado Margarita. The spiciness of the grilled shrimp will balance out the sweet and sour flavors of the margarita, creating a delicious and refreshing meal.

Black Bean and Corn Salad: This light and flavorful salad is the perfect side dish to the Grilled Shrimp Tacos. The sweetness of the corn and the creaminess of the black beans are the perfect contrast to the spiciness of the tacos. The freshness of the salad will also help to balance out the richness of the Avocado Margarita.
