"Vinegar based dressing with added bacon - from Taste of Austria"
Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and set aside.
Slice and salt cabbage.
In a large pot, add caraway and vinegar and water/broth.
Stir in cabbage.
Cook cabbage until it is barely done but not too tender.
Put slaw in bowl, crumble in the reserved bacon, drizzle with 2 tablespoons oil. Taste, add rest of oil if desired.
Stir and serve.

This was a salad I'll make again. I was pretty liberal with the caraway seeds and left the cabbage fairly crisp. We liked it when made, but I liked it even more after it chilled. The caraway is what makes this special. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
