Step by Step Method
Step 1
Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and set aside.
Step 2
Slice and salt cabbage.
Step 3
In a large pot, add caraway and vinegar and water/broth.
Step 4
Stir in cabbage.
Step 5
Cook cabbage until it is barely done but not too tender.
Step 6
Drain.
Step 7
Put slaw in bowl, crumble in the reserved bacon, drizzle with 2 tablespoons oil. Taste, add rest of oil if desired.
Step 8
Stir and serve.
