Step 1: Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and set aside.
Step 2: Slice and salt cabbage.
Step 3: In a large pot, add caraway and vinegar and water/broth.
Step 4: Stir in cabbage.
Step 5: Cook cabbage until it is barely done but not too tender.
Step 6: Drain.
Step 7: Put slaw in bowl, crumble in the reserved bacon, drizzle with 2 tablespoons oil. Taste, add rest of oil if desired.
Step 8: Stir and serve.
