Step by Step Method
Step 1
Combine bush spice, paprika, lemon rind, 1 1/2 tablespoon oil and 1/2 the garlic in a bowl and mix well to combine and then rub mixture all over the steaks.
Step 2
Heat a barbecue hotplate and grill on medium high and cook the steak on the hotplate for 3 to 4 minutes each side for medium, or until cooked to your liking and then transfer to a plate and cover loosely with foil and stand for 5 minutes or rest.
Step 3
Meanwhile, toss onion in remaining oil and cook onion on hotplate and pineapple on grill, turning for 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly charred.
Step 4
Lightly spray bread slices on both sides with oil and cook bread on grill for 1 to 2 minutes each side or until lightly toaste.
Step 5
Combine mayonnaise, lemon juice and remaining garlic in a small bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Place 1'/2 the bread on serving plates and spread with mayonnaise mixture and then top with pineapple, onion, beetroot, steak and lettuce and drizzle with barbecue sauce.
Step 7
Top with the remaining bread slice and serve.
