Step 1

Preheat oven to 325-degree F

Step 2

Grease and flour and Pam spray a 9-inch bundt cake pan.

Sift together dry ingredients.

Step 4

Stir oil and sugar together thoroughly.

Step 5

Add to the flour mixture and blend.

Step 6

Stir in hot applesauce.

Step 7

Mix in raisins and nuts.

Step 8

Pour into pan.

Step 9

Bake in a preheated 325-degree F oven for 55 minutes.

Cool the cake in the pan for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.

Frost cake when thoroughly cooled.

To make caramel icing

Melt butter in a pan and add brown sugar.

Step 14

Bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, about 2 minutes.

Step 15

Add milk and beat well.

Step 16

Return to full boil.

Step 17

Cool to lukewarm and add in powdered sugar
