Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a large baking dish with butter. Set aside.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, pecans, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in melted butter and mix until texture is coarse and sandy. Set aside.
Step 3
Core the apples and slice them. No need to peel the apples, unless you prefer them peeled. Place them in a large bowl and add the sugar, cinnamon, ginger and lemon juice. Toss to combine. Pour the apple mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Step 4
Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples. Bake until the apples are bubbly and the crumb topping is golden. 40-45 minutes.
Step 5
Serve warm with ice cream.
