Step by Step Method

Step 1

Mix diced apples, sugar and nuts and let stand 1 hour.

Step 2

Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

Step 3

Mix together the 2 beaten eggs and the oil.

Step 4

Add the apple mix to the dry ingredients, then add the egg mixture along with the vanilla and the raisins.

Step 5

Bake in a greased tube pan or a large square pan at 350' F. for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
