Step 1
Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan forced.
Step 2
Grease and line a 26cm x 16cm (base measurement) slice pan with baking paper, extending paper at long sides for handles.
Step 3
Combine sugar and cocoa powder in a heatproof bowl and then add butter and eggs and mix well and then stir in almond meal until combined.
Step 4
Pour mixture into prepared pan and level surface and bake for 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted at centre comes out with crumbs clinging (don't over cook).
Step 5
Cool completely in pan (brownies will firm).
Step 6
Sprinkle brownie with extra sugar and dust with extra cocoa powder and then cut into 16 squares to serve.
