Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In pot of heavily salted boiling water
Cook pasta until is barely al dente .
When pasta is half cooked, add broccoli into the water with the pasta.
Drain pasta and broccoli together, place back into the pot
While the pasta is boiling, heat the butter in a medium saucepan, then add the onions and garlic.
Cook onions and garlic until soft, around 3 minutes, then add flour and stir to coat
Cook a minute
Add broth, mushrooms and milk to the saucepan and, whisking constantly, bring to a slow boil until mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and add the tuna and cheddar cheese, stirring to melt.
Pour the sauce over the pasta mixture and stir well to combine.
Place pasta and sauce mixture into a buttered Pam sprayed casserole dish, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
