Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 16 ounces dry elbow macaroni
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup onion ,diced
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cups frozen broccoli florets
  • 1 can (4 ounces) mushrooms, undrained
  • 3 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 ounces parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (12 ounces)tuna, undrained

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In pot of heavily salted boiling water

  • Step 3: Cook pasta until is barely al dente .

  • Step 4: When pasta is half cooked, add broccoli into the water with the pasta.

  • Step 5: Drain pasta and broccoli together, place back into the pot

  • Step 6: Sauce:

  • Step 7: Meanwhile

  • Step 8: While the pasta is boiling, heat the butter in a medium saucepan, then add the onions and garlic.

  • Step 9: Cook onions and garlic until soft, around 3 minutes, then add flour and stir to coat

  • Step 10: Cook a minute

  • Step 11: Add broth, mushrooms and milk to the saucepan and, whisking constantly, bring to a slow boil until mixture thickens.

  • Step 12: Remove from heat and add the tuna and cheddar cheese, stirring to melt.

  • Step 13: Pour the sauce over the pasta mixture and stir well to combine.

  • Step 14: Place pasta and sauce mixture into a buttered Pam sprayed casserole dish, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

  • Step 15: Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
