Zweibelkuchen - German Onion Pie

"I served this with bratwurst and a green salad the other night. Hubby said it was the best meal I'd made all year. Wow! Use my mom's pie crust recipe or, if you're a beginner, my sister Lauren's, under my recipes. Adapted from Miss Annie at Fooddotcom."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Step 2
Saute bacon, remove from pan and drain most of grease from pan.
Step 3
Add onions and saute until clear, but not browned. Stir in bacon and let cool slightly.
Step 4
Stir eggs and sour cream together, then add flour, salt & pepper, mixing well.
Step 5
Prick bottom of pie shell, spread onion and bacon mixture, then pour egg mixture over the top.
Step 6
Bake 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350 and bake another 20 minutes. Serve hot.
