Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat well.
Step 3
Combine flour, xanthan, baking powder, and salt in a medium size bowl.
Step 4
Add dry ingredients and milk to egg mixture, and mix until smooth. Scrape bottom and sides of bowl, and mix again just until smooth.
Step 5
Pour into greased and rice-floured 9 inch round cake pan.
Step 6
Bake at 350 degrees F, for 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Step 7
Cool completely before frosting.
