Step by Step Method
Step 1
Heat the milk a little more than lukewarm.

Cream sugar and egg yolks.

Whip the egg whites until stiff.

Add warmed milk slowly to the beaten yolks and sugar.

Then add dry ingredients.

Fold in stiff egg whites.

Stir all together.

And throw in thin slices of good peaches that you've peeled and chopped ,

Dipping the batter over them.

Drop large spoonfuls into boiling hot lard with pieces of peach in each and fry to a light brown.

Turning over when one side is browned.

Serve with real maple syrup.
