Step 1: Heat the milk a little more than lukewarm.
Step 2: Cream sugar and egg yolks.
Step 3: Whip the egg whites until stiff.
Step 4: Add warmed milk slowly to the beaten yolks and sugar.
Step 5: Then add dry ingredients.
Step 6: Fold in stiff egg whites.
Step 7: Stir all together.
Step 8: And throw in thin slices of good peaches that you've peeled and chopped ,
Step 9: Dipping the batter over them.
Step 10: Drop large spoonfuls into boiling hot lard with pieces of peach in each and fry to a light brown.
Step 11: Turning over when one side is browned.
Step 12: Serve with real maple syrup.
