Step by Step Method
Step 1
Drain pineapple reserving 2 tablespoons juice.
Step 2
Combine brown sugar and butter in a 13 x 9- inch pan.
Step 3
Arrange pineapple slices in pan--place a cherry halve in each slice.
Step 4
Cut side up in center of each slice.
Step 5
Sprinkle with reserved juice and nuts.
Step 6
Combine cake mix Dream Whip envelope eggs and water in large mixer bowl for 4 minutes. Carefully spoon over pineapple.
Step 7
Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until top springs back when pressed.
Step 8
Let stand for 10 minutes, then invert and let stand 1 minute then remove from pan.
