Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

No need to grease the pans.
Step 3
Beat butter and sugar until creamy.

Add egg, vanilla and water and beat well.

In another bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch and salt and add to butter mixture and combine well.
Step 6
Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls about 1 1/2 inches apart onto cookie sheets.
Step 7
Bake about 8 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
Step 8
Remove from oven and carefully transfer to racks to cool.
