"Like a dump cake, except it's muffins. Spice cake mix is really good, but you can use yellow or vanilla cake mix if you add some pumpkin pie spice to it."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F. Line your muffin tin with liner, or spray to keep from sticking.

Step 2

Using an electric mixer, blend the cake mix and canned pumpkin until smooth. (You can also do this by hand mixing).

Step 3

Divide the batter evenly among the cups of the prepared muffin pan.

Step 4

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. Cool slightly before removing from pan.

I made these for the hubby...he said the flavor was good but the insides were still doughy...I cooked them an extra 15 mins...I used a yellow cake mix adding in pumpkin spice..looking at my box of cake mix...15.25 oz...it said it makes 24 cups cakes...some of my muffins were really large...so I would suggest making 16 muffins instead of 12...I gave the hubby one of the large ones...so that could be why it was still doughy...he did eat it all...made for "WOTM" tag game...
