Step by Step Method
Step 1
To make the tuna: In as skillet melt the margarine and then add the green pepper and onion and cook slowly until tender. Stir in salt, pepper and flour.
Step 2
Stir in chicken soup, stirring constantly and then add the milk and stir until thick and smooth.
Step 3
Stir in tuna and lemon juice.
Step 4
Pour into a casserole and cover with the cheese rollups.
Step 5
Bake at 425 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.
Step 6
To make the cheese roll-ups: in a bowl sift the flour and then sift it again with the baking powder and salt. Cut in the shortening and then add the milk and mix with a fork.
Step 7
Roll into a rectangle and sprinkle with the cheese and chopped pimiento and cayenne.
Step 8
Roll into jelly roll and cut into slices and place over the creamed tuna.
