- When selecting cream for this recipe, make sure to use light cream for a lighter texture.
- Make sure to use cold butter for the scones so that it will not melt when added to the other ingredients.
- Substitute almond milk for light cream: This substitution will make the scones dairy-free and vegan-friendly, while still providing the same creamy texture.
- Substitute coconut oil for butter: This substitution will reduce the saturated fat content of the scones, while still providing the same rich flavor.
Chocolate Chip Scones Replace the cinnamon chips with 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Increase the sugar to 1/2 cup. Omit the cinnamon from the glaze and replace with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Vanilla Bean Yogurt Parfait - This light and refreshing yogurt parfait is the perfect accompaniment to Triple Cinnamon Scones. The sweetness of the vanilla bean yogurt pairs perfectly with the cinnamon and sugar flavors of the scones, while the crunch of the granola provides a nice textural contrast.
Strawberry Compote: This sweet and tangy strawberry compote is the perfect complement to the Vanilla Bean Yogurt Parfait and Triple Cinnamon Scones. The compote adds a burst of freshness and sweetness to the dish, while the tartness of the strawberries helps to balance out the sweetness of the other ingredients.
