Step by Step Method

Step 1

To prepare the dressing, in a small bowl, whisk the vinegar, oil, sugar, salt, mustard and pepper.

Step 2

In a large salad bowl, combine the tomatoes, onions and basil.

Step 3

Drizzle with the dressing; toss to coat.

Step 4

Refrigerate, covered, tossing once, until the flavors are blended, at least 1 hour.

A truly delicious salad using locally grown tomatoes from the Farmers Market. We truly enjoyed it! The longer you marinade it the better it tastes. We will have this on our table often throughout the summer!

What a wonderful surprise. I knew that i would enjoy this salad, I just didn't realize how much. This salad has so much depth of flavor. We loved it. Quick and easy to make with awesome results. I can't wait to enjoy this daily in the summer with fresh picked tomatoes and basil. I couldn't get fresh basil so I used a basil paste, it worked really well in the recipe. Thanks for sharing another winner my friend. Made for the JOY of Vegetables.

Apart from using large cherry tomato's, I followed this recipe exactly. A lovely, light and refreshing salad, that has a wonderful and yet tangy dressing. The dressing compliments the tomato's, onions and basil so well. I garnished with some chopped chives, and served with chicken. This make's such a pretty and delicious salad which we all enjoyed.
