Step by Step Method

Step 1

Peel and core apples.

Step 2

Cut each apple into 8 slices each.

Step 3

Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll.

Step 4

Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan.

Step 5

Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, and cinnamon; stir, and pour entire mixture over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Step 6

Serve on it's own or with ice cream (vanilla suggested) and spoon some of the sweet sauce from the pan over the top.

Wowzers, FEM! These have been on my "to do" list for the longest time, and I had everything to make them while family was here at Christmas - but failed to make them. I'm so sorry I didn't because these are beyond fabulous! And as you say, so easy to make! I made a half-recipe in an 8x8 Pyrex and it is the perfect size for that. I'm sending the rest to my husbands D-Group meeting, but will have a VERY hard time not gobbling down another before they head out the door... Served with vanilla ice cream and a sprig of mint.
