"If you know my history, you know I lived in Dallas, TX B4 moving to Iceland. Imagine my surprise when I began to see copycat recipes of the hugely popular Texas Roadhouse Butter springing up all over the "recipe-net". Whether identical or different, this recipe from foodfanaticdotcom in particular proved 1 thing. The sweet (or salt) level in recipes will always be argued. There was a wide difference of opinion about how sweet this was (or wasn't). So how do you get it right? You follow MY METHOD in the prep steps! All that said, this great compound butter will impress your family at meal time! It makes rolls, bread, bagels & toast amazing - Replaces syrup on pancakes - Is great w/sweet potatoes - Dresses up a bowl of oatmeal -- Need I go on gushing? Enjoy!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Use a stand mixer, food processor, hand mixer or immersion blender to whip all ingredients together until smooth. Cover & store in the refrigerator.

Step 2

Allow to sit out at room temp for about 30 min B4 serving for easy spreading.

MY METHOD

Step 3

Whip the softened butter w/the cinnamon plus 1 tbsp each of powdered sugar & honey. Taste & continue adding 1 tbsp each until you are completely happy w/the sweetness level. Way too easy, huh?

A delicious butter full of cinnamon and sugar. A great companion to crepes I made. I made some more today to have again this weekend!

It has been a lot of years since I have been to a Texas Roadhouse, so I don't really remember what theirs tastes like, but no matter, this is tasty. I used your method and ended up with 50% more of both sweeteners for it to be how I intended for my cinnamon toast - and it came out just right for that application. I also wanted to make "cinnamon roll" oatmeal with it, which may end up being the most buttery I have ever made an oatmeal (in order to get the balance of the other flavors right) - but, boy was it good - and with no other additions needed.

Daily Inspiration

We have been to Texas Roadhouse many times and we always enjoy this honey butter with their yeast rolls. Today we enjoyed this delicious butter spread on some pumpkin/applesauce cornbread and it was wonderful. I've been requested to make this spread for Christmas day to go with some yeast rolls and I've been requested to make plenty. : )

This is a really nice butter compound. I've used it on both pancakes and french toast. We don't have any Texas Roundhouse restaurants in my area so I can't compare to the restaurant version, but it was well received in my home. Thanks for sharing, twissis.
