"Tahini adds richness and moisture to baked goods like these blondies, and a nicet, slightly bitter nuttiness. If you didn’t know the secret ingredient, you’d just think these squares taste like blondies "all grown up". They’re sweet but not too sweet. These blondies are easily tweaked by adding mix-ins, so stir in chopped walnuts or white chocolate chips, or whatever tickles your fancy! Just don’t skip the flaky sea salt on top... Real Simple!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Step 2

Stir together brown sugar, tahini, butter, and eggs in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in flour, kosher salt, and baking soda.

Step 3

Spread mixture in a parchment paper-lined 8-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. To make spreading easier, use a sheet of parchment paper over the batter and use your hands to spread it. Sprinkle batter with sea salt.

Step 4

Bake in preheated oven until browned and cooked through, about 25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Cut into squares.
