Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Step 2
Pam spray a 9x13 baking dish.
Step 3
Cook pasta until al dente in heavily salted boiling water.
Step 4
Meanwhile, brown beef and onions.
Step 5
Add taco seasoning and water, then bring to a boil.
Step 6
Reduce heat.
Step 7
Add black beans, tomatoes and salsa.
Step 8
Stir well.
Step 9
Add 1 cup cheese and combine until melted.
Step 10
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Step 11
When pasta is cooked, drain and add back to pot.
Step 12
Add meat mixture and mix well.
Step 13
Transfer to baking dish cover and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 14
Uncover, add rest of cheese and bake for 5 additional minutes until melted.
Step 15
Add garnish on the side.
