  • For a spicier dish, look for a hotter enchilada sauce.
  • For a milder dish, use mild cheddar cheese instead of Mexican blend.

  • Ground turkey instead of ground beef: This substitution provides a leaner option with less fat and calories, making it a healthier choice for those looking to watch their diet.
  • Canned diced tomatoes instead of bell peppers: Tomatoes provide a similar crunchy texture to peppers but with a more acidic flavor that pairs well with the other ingredients in the dish.

Vegetarian Taco Skillet Replace the ground beef with 1 package of crumbled vegetarian burger and use vegetable broth instead of enchilada sauce.

Mexican Street Corn Salad: This creamy and crunchy salad is the perfect side dish to this taco skillet. It adds a bright, fresh flavor to the meal, and the combination of sweet corn, creamy mayonnaise, and zesty chili powder is sure to be a hit!

Chunky Guacamole: This chunky guacamole is the perfect accompaniment to the taco skillet. The creamy avocado, tart lime juice, and spicy jalapeno provide a delicious contrast to the smoky flavors of the dish. Plus, it's quick and easy to make, so you can enjoy a flavorful side dish in no time!

Perfect blend of spices & sauce for a peppy spicy flavour. We loved this recipe! It looks so attractivel. This time I served it with rice next time it will be in a tostado shell with added sour cream on top as well as the cilantro & tomatoes. I cut the recipe in half, added 3 cups of spinach and some corn that I had in the fridge. The result was 3 generous servings. This will go into our favourites and be made many times again. 13 Jul 19 As said, this is very very tasty! You may make it as hot or not as you like. I used fresh jalapeno instead of canned chilies and medium salsa instead of the enchilada sauce. I added cheddar cheesse on top for the last 15 minutesThis recipe will be made many more times Thanks PatioDad for posting it.

The taco skillet is a great way to get all the flavor of tacos in one pan. It's also a great way to use up any leftover ingredients you have in your pantry!

The taco is said to have originated in Mexico in the early 1800s. It was made with a corn tortilla folded in half and filled with various ingredients, including beef, pork, chicken, beans, vegetables, and cheese.
