"This is an old favorite; and so easy to make. I have made it many times; and, it is always well liked. I like to serve this with a baked classic or spiral ham; or, even ham steaks. Where this came from ... NO clue; it, has been around for years."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Sauce ... Add the pineapple, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, mustard, 1/4 cup water to a small pot; and, bring to a boil. Immediately reduce the heat to medium low, cover; and, simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Step 2
After the sauce has simmered; add the corn starch and remaining water to a small bowl or cup; and, mix to combine. Add to the pineapple sauce, mix; and, bring to a light boil. Once again, cook just a minute; then, reduce to low heat. Simmer 5 minutes.
Step 3
Serve and ENJOY! ... Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl; and serve warm. Easy to make ahead, then just warm up (it reheats well on the stove or in the microwave). Now, you can always cut this recipe in half too. It does not freeze well; but, will last a week in the refrigerator.
