Step 1

Combine honey, soy, ginger and oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2

Cook, stirring, until marinade comes to the boil.

Step 3

Set aside to cool. Pour marinade into a ceramic dish.

Step 4

Add fish to cooled marinade. Turn to coat.

Step 5

Cover. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Preheat a chargrill or barbecue on medium heat.

Step 7

Remove fish from marinade, reserving marinade.

Step 8

Cook fish, brushing with marinade, for 3 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking.

Step 9

Place onto plates.

Step 10

Serve with Asian salad greens.

Made for a great tasting fish tonight that we enjoyed. The peppery bite of the arugla matched really well with the sweetness of the fish. I used tilapia and because it was quite chilly out, I decided to bake it with the marinade in the oven. Baked it at 350 for about 15 minutes and it worked out pretty well. Very good - we used trout fillets, but the cooking time was just about right on target. Used a grill pan on top of the stove but otherwise made as directed. Thanks for sharing!
