Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Mix together sweet potatoes, milk, egg, sugar and spices. Place in deep-dish pie pie plate or casserole baking dish.

Step 3

Mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle on top of the sweet potatoe mixture. Cover with tin foil.

Step 4

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Remove tin foil and bake another 15 minutes until topping is crunchy.

I'm not usually much for the marshmallow topping on a lot of SP casseroles, & we found this to be wonderfully satisfying! I pretty much followed the recipe, although I did add an 1/4 cup of dark raisins to what was in the cereal topping! Very, very enjoyable!
