"A delicious ice cream dessert. Perfect for a hot summer evening. This appeared in a Woman's Day Magazine I believe, several years ago and I haven't changed a thing. It is absolutely delicious! No credit from me, other than it is certainly good enough to pass along. I think it was a contest winner. Prep time does include freezing the apples."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Apples ... Toss the apples with the lemon juice and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 15-20 minutes. You want them partially frozen.

Step 2

Shake ... In a blender, add the ice cream, apple cider, caramel sauce, vanilla, and the slightly frozen apples and blend until smooth. Any ice cream sundae or caramel sauce will work fine. I use Smuckers brand

Step 3

Serve ... Pour into glasses and garnish with whipped topping, salted chopped peanuts and more caramel sauce. ENJOY! this simple easy dessert.
