Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 cups Granny Smith apples, diced (unpeeled)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Base:
  • 4 1/4 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup apple cider (apple juice can be substituted, but it isn't as good)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (any store bought brand will work)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Garnish:
  • Whipped topping
  • Salted peanuts, chopped
  • Caramel sauce

How to Make

  • Step 1: Apples ... Toss the apples with the lemon juice and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 15-20 minutes. You want them partially frozen.

  • Step 2: Shake ... In a blender, add the ice cream, apple cider, caramel sauce, vanilla, and the slightly frozen apples and blend until smooth. Any ice cream sundae or caramel sauce will work fine. I use Smuckers brand

  • Step 3: Serve ... Pour into glasses and garnish with whipped topping, salted chopped peanuts and more caramel sauce. ENJOY! this simple easy dessert.
