Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a large bowl mix butter molasses, sugar and eggs beating well.
Step 2
Sift together flour, baking soda and spices.
Step 3
Add this to the melted butter, molasses, sugar and egg mixture, beating well.
Step 4
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for at least one hour.
Step 5
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 6
Take small sections of dough out at a time, keeping the rest refrigerated, and roll pieces of it into small 1" balls, then roll balls in granulated sugar.
Step 7
Repeat with remaining dough.
Step 8
Place on prepared baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray, or lined with parchment paper.
Step 9
Bake in 350 oven 8-10 minutes or until slightly firm and well browned.
