Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2

In a 9x9 inch baking dish combine rice, soup and broth.

Step 3

Cut butter into slices and place on top of the mixture.

Step 4

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Remove cover and bake 30 minutes more.

OMG!!!! this quite possible may be my new favorite onion rice. I didn't have the French onion soup so I subbed 2 1/4 cups water plus 1 packet of Lipton's dry onion soup mix, also added in 1 teaspoon garlic powder and lots of fresh ground pepper, no salt and I'm glad I did not add in any it was plenty salty as is, I used half margarine and butter, we could not stop eating this, next time I will double the amounts and add in some sauteed sliced mushrooms, this is just way to good rice, thanks so much D!
