Step by Step Method

Step 1

Fill bottom of a larger saucepan with 1 inch of water and place steamer rack in pot. Add potatoes to the rack, cover and steam about 15-17 minutes until tender, checking periodically on water level and adding more water as needed.

Step 2

Meanwhile, combine the dill, parsley, thyme and chives with the mayonnaise in a food processor and process until the herbs are chopped and incorporated into the mayonnaise.

Step 3

With the motor running, slowly pour the buttermilk through the feed tube, then add the vinegar, hot sauce, salt and pepper; process until combined.

Step 4

Sample dressing and adjust seasonings.

Step 5

Serve the potatoes with the creamy herb dressing.
