"1939 winside Nebraska cookbook has baking soda and baking powder in putting buttermilk instead of sour milk which they used as it's easier to get use a teaspoon of vinegar in milk i used tablespoons but that might be too much for you .these are not a light waffle they are heavier probably served with gravy in the winter .they are good but not fluffy they needed heavier in winter here in Nebraska"
