Step by Step Method
Step 1
In double boiler, scald 1 cup of the sour cream
Step 2
Mix together rest of sour cream spices flour and egg yolks. Temper into sour cream
Step 3
Stirring constantly so that sour cream doesn't curdle. After 15 minutes will thicken
Step 4
Add raisins and vanilla
Step 5
Meanwhile, beat the egg whites and 2 tablespoons sugar until stiff
Step 6
Pour cooled raisin mixture into baked pie shell
Step 7
Top with meringue and broil until browned
