Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place bacon in a large skillet and fry until crisp.

Step 2

Remove, drain, crumble and set aside.

Step 3

Add butter and onion to skillet.

Step 4

Cook until onion is translucent.

Step 5

Mix in potatoes, clams, chopped parsley, salt and pepper.

Step 6

Press mixture down with spatula.

Step 7

Cook over medium-high heat until bottom is well-browned.

Step 8

Turn mixture over, mixing in some of the brown crust.

Step 9

Press down with spatula.

Step 10

Cook until bottom is brown.

Step 11

Top with cheese, cover and cook just until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.

Step 12

Garnish with parsley.
