Step 1: Place bacon in a large skillet and fry until crisp.
Step 2: Remove, drain, crumble and set aside.
Step 3: Add butter and onion to skillet.
Step 4: Cook until onion is translucent.
Step 5: Mix in potatoes, clams, chopped parsley, salt and pepper.
Step 6: Press mixture down with spatula.
Step 7: Cook over medium-high heat until bottom is well-browned.
Step 8: Turn mixture over, mixing in some of the brown crust.
Step 9: Press down with spatula.
Step 10: Cook until bottom is brown.
Step 11: Top with cheese, cover and cook just until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.
Step 12: Garnish with parsley.
