Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

In a mixing bowl

Cream butter and sugar together.

Step 4

Beat in the egg.

Step 5

Sift flour,salt and cornstarch

Step 6

Then add in the flour mixture and fold in until completely moistened.

Step 7

Press the dough together into a ball and place on a floured workspace.

Step 8

Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 9

Use a knife to form squares or rectangles.

Place dough on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Step 12

Place in the preheated oven.

Step 13

Bake for 20 minutes at 325 degrees. 

Step 14

Remove tray from the oven and let cookies cool completely on a wire rack.
