Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place broccolini in a large skillet. Drizzle with 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook over medium high heat for 5 to 6 minutes. Uncover and cook for 30 seconds or until the liquid evaporates. Remove the broccolini from the pan.

Step 2

Add the oil to the pan. swirl to coat. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring frequently. Return the broccolini to the skillet. Toss to coat and sprinkle with salt.

I scaled back for one serve but only used 3 ounces of broccolini instead of 4 ounces as I felt that was more than enough for me with the prawns served over soba noodles and I enjoyed everymouthful of the broccolini though I only cooked mine in the water for 3 minutes as I like it on the crisp side especially the stalks I don't mind them even leaning towards the raw side and I really enjoyed this new side, thank you breezermom made for Only The Lonely tag game at FF&F.
