Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cream sugar and lard. ( i used butter not lard).
Step 2
Cook raisins and 2 cups water for 15 minutes.
Step 3
And add vanilla
Step 4
Add and mix together the mushy applesauce, lard and sugar.
Step 5
Add sifted dry ingredients .
Step 6
Bake in 9x13 greased pan for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
Step 7
Frosting: melt the butter and stir over heat until golden.
Step 8
Add cream, water, vanilla and powdered sugar.
Step 9
Spread on cake.it gets hard when cooled.
