Step 1: Cream sugar and lard. ( i used butter not lard).
Step 2: Cook raisins and 2 cups water for 15 minutes.
Step 3: And add vanilla
Step 4: Add and mix together the mushy applesauce, lard and sugar.
Step 5: Add sifted dry ingredients .
Step 6: Bake in 9x13 greased pan for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
Step 7: Frosting: melt the butter and stir over heat until golden.
Step 8: Add cream, water, vanilla and powdered sugar.
Step 9: Spread on cake.it gets hard when cooled.
