Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°.
Step 2
Grease and lightly flour 2 (9-inch) round baking pans; set aside.
Step 3
In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cloves. Add mayonnaise, milk and eggs, using an electric mixer, beat at low speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl frequently (the batter will be thick). With a large spoon or spatula, stir in apples raisins and walnuts.
Step 4
Evenly spoon into prepared pans.
Step 5
Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. On wire rack, cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
