"I had originally posted this elsewhere on the internet. Here's the description from that site, " I was in a hurry, and wanted something that that tasted home-made. I didn't want to spend a lot of time cooking, so I came up with this. Standing time is included in cook time. I know that this isn't real Cajun, but it's good. Now the amounts of water and cooking time will vary depending on the brand of rice you are using. Step by Step Method

Step 1

Over medium heat in a large skillet, heat oil until hot but not smoking add sausage and cook until lightly browned.

Step 2

Add 2 1/2 cups water to sausage and bring to a boil.

Step 3

Then add rice, Dirty Rice Seasoning Mix, and beans.

Step 4

Return to a boil, reduce heat, and cover.

Step 5

Simmer and stir occasionally for 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender.

A quick and tasty way to have red beans and rice! I usually do the "long" method but this is a nice way to enjoy the flavor in a short amount of time. Served with a salad and garlic bread, Perfect!
