Step by Step Method
Step 1
Peel and cut potatoes into small pieces.
Step 2
Boil them in salty water for about 20 minutes.
Step 3
Drain the water well and mash the potatoes until they're smooth.
Step 4
Add 4 tablespoons butter to the mashed potatoes while they're still warm.
Step 5
Mix well until the butter melts.
Step 6
Add a little salt and pepper.
Step 7
Make small tall circles with the mashed potatoes. Cook them in a hot pan with 2 tablespoons melted butter until both sides are crispy and golden, about 5 minutes on each side.
Step 8
Put the potato cakes on a plate lined with paper towels.
