"You can eat this chilled(iced) or I think they ate this warm also as they ate a bunch of soup in cups guys.i reworked the recipe because as written it made no sense to me"

Step 1
Heat onions and butter until opaque

Cook over medium heat for 5 more minutes.

Then the chicken broth and water.

Stirring constantly, bring to boiling and cook for 20 minutes at a low simmer

Force mixture through a fine sieve.(or use a stick blender.

(If eating warm add cream here)

Chill several hours.

Before serving, blend in cream
