Step by Step Method
Step 1
Grind the almonds in a blender or food processor.
Step 2
Combine the almonds and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Step 3
Remove from the heat.
Step 4
Beat the eggs with sugar and salt.
Step 5
Beat the almond milk mixture gradually(temper by add a small amount of hot liquid into the eggs)into the eggs.
Step 6
Turn into top part of double boiler.
Step 7
Cook over hot, not boiling water, until thickened, stirring constantly.
Step 8
Serve over cake or stewed fruit
