  • 1/4 cup blanched almonds,(1/4 cup almond flour)
  • 4 cups milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Grind the almonds in a blender or food processor.

  • Step 2: Combine the almonds and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

  • Step 3: Remove from the heat.

  • Step 4: Beat the eggs with sugar and salt.

  • Step 5: Beat the almond milk mixture gradually(temper by add a small amount of hot liquid into the eggs)into the eggs.

  • Step 6: Turn into top part of double boiler.

  • Step 7: Cook over hot, not boiling water, until thickened, stirring constantly.

  • Step 8: Serve over cake or stewed fruit
